A man, wanted for Attempted Murder in Oklahoma, is still on the run in Benton County. But a Pea Ridge couple says they found a man matching 38-year-old Cory Wolf’s description in their camper trailer.
The couple reportedly called police, but when they arrived the man had left. Investigators have not confirmed whether or not the man was Cory Wolf.
Cory Wolf was involved in a high speed chase that began at the Jane, Missouri Wal-Mart when Sheriff’s Deputies tried to stop him for shoplifting. Wolf reportedly tried to ram or run over Deputies there. The chase continued into Bella Vista with Northwest Arkansas authorities Tuesday afternoon around 4:00 PM. The chase ended when Wolf crashed his car near along Highway 265 in Pea Ridge. However, Wolf managed to get away on foot.
“We are considering him to be armed and dangerous and he’s obviously shown a propensity for violence, so we would urge citizens not to have any contact with him,” Benton County Deputy Doug Gay reported.
Three people, two females and another male were taken into custody, and questioned.
Officials say Wolf is from Pryor, Oklahoma and wanted for Attempted Murder and Aggravated Assault. He is also wanted on felony charges in Missouri, and now Arkansas.
