Child Hit by Car While Waiting for School Bus in Branson

A child is recovering from moderate injuries after being struck by a car in Branson early morning of March 30th, 2010.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says the 7:30 a.m. incident took place near Highway 165 and Enterprise Lane. 9-year-old Philip Baylor was walking across the road to a spot to wait for his bus to arrive when he was hit.

The 2000 Dodge which hit the boy was driven by 24-year-old Lindsay A. Hood, also of Branson. The child, a student at Branson Elementary was taken to St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield. Its not known if any charges will be filed against the driver of the car. The Police still have some more interviews to conduct.
