Two Arrested For Stealing From Farmers

Two Clarksville residents were arrested on Friday, May 11 in connection with the theft of metal and irrigation pipe from separate farms in the Coal Hill and Hartman Bottoms over the past week.

Charles Kidd, age 26 of Clarksville and Heather Matthew, age 35 of Clarksville were arrested by Sheriff’s Office personnel after a search on Friday afternoon.

They reportedly sold some items at a recycling center in Russellville and attempted to sell other items at a local recycling center.

Some of the pipe was recovered at an abandoned residence on Hudson Springs Road near Clarksville but it was determined to be unusable because of the damage.

Both will appear for bond hearings on Monday, May 14.

At this time they are charged with 2 counts each of Theft of Property (Felony).
