Sheriff Danny Hickman announced that charges have been filed against a Newton County man in connection with a drive-by shooting incident in Boone County.
Sheriff Danny Hickman said Ernest Bischoff, 47, of Marble Falls was being held at the Boone County Jail after his arrest on charges of committing a Terroristic Act and Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons.
Hickman said deputies responded to a residence on Highway 7 South on May 7th after a woman reported a man in a truck was driving by her house shooting a shotgun. Deputies found marks on the side of the house that were consistent with damage from a shotgun. Bischoff was suspected but could not immediately be located. According to an affidavit filed by Sergeant Marc Arnold, Bischoff said he shot at the house because the people in the house had insulted his girlfriend. Bischoff is being held on $50,000 bond.
