Hickeytown Community, Johnson County, AR

Charges are expected to be filed against two women who were caught removing items from a house near the Hickeytown community off of Highway 359 on May 7.

Both women were interviewed by Sheriff’s Office personnel and stated they removed the items to keep them from going to waste because the house had not been lived in for several years.

The owner of the residence was trying to work with the suspects to have the property returned but has been unsuccessful in getting all of the items back.

A report will be forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney’s office for review and filing of charges.

The Sheriff’s Office is working with the property owner to locate and recover as much of the property as possible.

Two Clarksville residents were arrested on Friday, May 11 in connection with the theft of metal and irrigation pipe from separate farms in the Coal Hill and Hartman Bottoms over the past week.

Charles Kidd, age 26 of Clarksville and Heather Matthew, age 35 of Clarksville were arrested by Sheriff’s Office personnel after a search on Friday afternoon.

They reportedly sold some items at a recycling center in Russellville and attempted to sell other items at a local recycling center.

Some of the pipe was recovered at an abandoned residence on Hudson Springs Road near Clarksville but it was determined to be unusable because of the damage.

Both will appear for bond hearings on Monday, May 14.

At this time they are charged with 2 counts each of Theft of Property (Felony).

Robert Pinkonsly, age 48 of Oxford was arrested April 11 on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia.  Pinkonsly posted bond on Sunday, given a court date, and released.

Virginia Ruth Knight, age 38 of Viola who was being held in the Izard County Detention Facility on earlier charges was additionally charged with felony furnishing  prohibited articles in a correctional facility.  Knight remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Izard County deputies were dispatched to Wiseman Friday afternoon in response to a domestic violence compliant.  The complaining party stated that she had been struck in the face during an altercation with her husband,  Jesse J. Cap .  Cap, age 27 was charged with domestic battering third degree and due to the presence of a one year old and a three year old child, Cap was additionally charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor according to Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence..  Cap remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of bond.

Saturday afternoon, deputies were asked to conduct a welfare check on children at 185 College Drive in Melbourne. Four unattended children, ages 4, 6, 8, and 10  without adult supervision were located in the apartment.  The older child stated to deputies that they were often left alone without a baby sitter.   Sheriff Tate Lawrence said Alicia M. Donaldson, age 27 was arrested on four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.  The Arkansas Department of Human Services placed the children under their care.  Donaldson appeared  Sunday before District Judge David E. Miller, given a court date, and released from the Izard County Detention Facility

Saturday night, deputies were dispatched to Wideman in reference to a domestic battery in progress.  Upon the arrival of the deputies, Benjamin Nichols stated that he and his wife had engaged in an argument and the wife said Nichols was upset and grabbed her by he right hand and left arm.  Nichols , age 30 of Wideman was arrested on the charge of domestic battery.  Nichols appeared before District Judge. David E.  Miller on Sunday, given a court date and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Carrie Lee Sisk, age 23 of Melbourne was arrested Thursday on the charge of obstructing governmental operations and a warrant from Baxter County.  Sisk remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of bond in the amount of ;$1105.

Shawnee  McAfee, age 36 of Sage was arrested April 10 on a theft of property warrant. McAfee is accused of taking money from a Melbourne residence.  McAfee posted bond the following day and was released with a court date from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Donald Wayne Patterson, age 47 of Cave City was arrested April 9 on a contempt of court charge and harassment.  Patterson appeared before Judge David E. Miller on April 13, was released on stringent conditions, and given a court date.

Cody Lee Wilson, age 21 of Mountain Home was arrested  April 12on an Izard County failure to pay fines warrant.  Wilson remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

On July  28, 2010 William Krohn was arrested for the shooting deaths of Christine Ann Pryor (57 yrs. old), and her husband William Eugene Pryor (56 yrs. old).
Boone County Deputies responded at around 5:50pm to reports of gun fire at 19001 Old Lowery Road in Omaha, Arkansas. Upon arrival deputies found bodies of Christine & William Pryor dead in their mobile home.
William Krohn was charged with 2 counts of Capital Murder, and 1 count of Aggravate Burglary. Investigators seized numerous firearms from Krohn’s property to be tested in an attempt to identify the Murder Weapon.

On April 10, 2012 William Krohn (age 56) pleaded GUILTY to the shooting deaths of William Eugene Pryor, and Christine Ann Pryor. He was originally charged with Capital Murder which is punishable by life in Prison or Death my Lethal Injection in the State of Arkansas.

Prosecutor Ron Kincaid said the state had agreed to NOT Prosecute William Krohn for the Aggravated Burglary, or for a Felony with a Firearm when William Krohn agreed to accept the Consecutive Life Sentences in Prison.
According to Rich Pryor, ( William Krohn’s nephew), who told investigators that Krohn had become very angry with Christine and William Pryor over their “Mooching and Freeloading”, and he called William Paul Pryor (the victim’s son) to ask him to come to his residence because things had gotten “tense.” Once William Paul Pryor arrived, him, Rich Pryor, and William Krohn were having a discussion when Krohn got angry about the “freeloading” and he stated that he “would take care of the problem.”
According to the Affidavit Krohn had left the residence but within minutes after his departure the witnesses heard gunshots. According to them when they looked outside, they saw Krohn walking out of Christine and Williams mobile home carrying a gun.
The Harrison Daily Times reported that Rich Pryor told them that he went outside to confront William Krohn. “I said, Krohny, what happened?” He said, “I took care of the problem.”
Rich Pryor then attempted to restrain Krohn who resisted causing Pryor to injure Krohn in their scuffle. Pryor then called then called the authorities and when they arrived he told them that he caused a wound to Krohn’s head when he was attempting to restrain him.


William Krohn has been held without bond in the Boone County Jail from the time of his arrest. According to a spokesman William Krohn is still at the Boone County Jail awaiting his transport to the Prison to serve out his 2 Consecutive Life Sentences.
